“I’m reading the K-Elite comes with a water filter....is that correct? What type of water is recommended? My research shows conflicting opinions very confused!!!”

It comes with a filter and it lasts up to three months. And after that you can buy more filters at target or bestbuy, just ask for keurig water filters and they should be able to get them for you.

We recommend using bottled or filtered spring water in your Keurig coffee maker. Coffee and tea are over 98% water so quality water is necessary for a good coffee, tea or iced beverage. We do not recommend distilled or softened water in your Keurig coffee maker as it can change the taste profile of your coffee by making it bitter, and may cause brewing results to vary.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It's got a small replaceable charcoal filter at the bottom of the water tank. I assume it's so you can fill the reservoir straight from the tap. I still fill mine with a Brita pitcher just to be sure.
