The water container is removable. Don’t see much washing is needed since you should use plain water??? I personally would Not use a dish washer. That type of plastic most likely would dull or crack from the heat of a Dish washer. Not worth the risk of a minute saved.

It should not be placed in the dishwasher. Rinse the reservoir thoroughly after cleaning. This will ensure that no cleaning solutions remain in the area as they may contaminate the water supply. Do not dry the inside of the water reservoir with a cloth as lint may remain. Allow the reservoir to dry completely. We hope this helps!
