Keurig has worked with the roasters of your favorite brands to identify settings for brewing the ideal drinking experience for each Genuine Keurig K-Cup pod variety. The K-Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker's sensor can’t identify the pod if you are not using a genuine Keurig K-Cup pod. If this happens, you can still brew your beverage, but the brewer cannot offer roaster-recommended brew settings. We hope this is helpful!

Q: QuestionWhy do I keep getting an error message that there is a used pod in the machine when I have inserted a new pod? This has happened multiple times. Your customer support team has not been helpful.

- A:Answer I was having that problem as well as failing to recognize a pod was inserted at all. Unplugging the machine for a few seconds helped. I recently found that opening and closing the top a few extra times seems to have helped. I unplugged the coffee maker as a precaution against damaging the electronics while doing that. I have only used the coffee maker a couple times since, but it works much better now.

- A:Answer Anything on their website is compatible. The ones you get that they don’t sell like Death Wish pods are not compatible with Brew ID. To be honest, I don’t find Brew ID useful.
