The KICKER 48DCWR122 Dual 12" CompR Subwoofer Enclosure is rated to handle 1000 Watts RMS. For maximum performance from your speaker systems KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to deliver +/- 20% Watts RMS of the speaker's RMS power rating. An amplifier that delivers 800-1200 Watts RMS to the enclosure would be the recommendation. The CXA1200.1 is rated to produce 1200 Watts RMS in to a 2-ohm load and would be a good choice for this enclosure. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some people give terrible answers. The CXA1200.1 will do great with those subs. You don't have to use all the power that am amp has, that's why it has a gain. And if the kickers are rated to take 1000, they'll handle 1200 if you're amplifying a clean signal. You can turn your subs up until they distort, then you back off a bit. But your CompR's will sound awesome on this amp. Also there is no such thing as too hig of an amp. If you have a 2000 watt amp and a 1000 watt sub, run the amp at half of it's potential and it will never even get warm on you. Thee are youtube videos on how to setup your amp for a desired output using a multimeter. A cool amp is a happy amp.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Too much power you wanna match the rms watts of the amp to the rms of your subs so 2 500 watt rms speakers would be 1000 watt rms so you would need to find a amp that outputs 1000 watt rms you never wanna go high and it’s okay to go lower but you are not getting the full potential of the sub
