Q: QuestionWhy is the extra top shelf not made like the Miele? In the Miele you can stand the silverware up sideways. This shelf is just not made right. I am very disappointed.

Q: QuestionDoes the top rack come off? I don't know that I would use it often, and am more interested in having enough space on the top (middle) rack to hold tall wine glasses

Q: QuestionI've been told I need an "open bottom" dishwasher, and that Kitchen Aid would be a good option. don't see anything about closed/open bottom in the specs. Is this an open bottom model? Thank you!

- A:Answer Don’t know what you mean by open bottom. There is a kick plate that when removed you have access to the plumbing connections. The unit we bought is an under cabinet mount
