I have had this stove for over a month and used it about everyday since. We have a very very old school vent that we are going to get rid of because it is not needed with this stove. Unless you burn something bad you will be fine not having a vent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It is against code in some areas to not have a vent. May not sound like a big deal but if you have a fire, and you were not following code restrictions you may be void for insurance coverage
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We've had our range for about 1month and throughout the holidays preparing large meals and we've not had the need to use the overhead vent through the microwave. So to answer your question, I'd say no it's needed.
