“There is an 1/8 inch of a gap on the glass door. I called the 800 # and they told me this was normal. Does anyone else have this on their toaster oven? This seems like a factory defect to me!!!!”

I think it is definitely a defect. I just returned my oven to Best Buy and they were excellent about taking it back and have sent out a new one. The first one had an 1/8" gap at the right side of the door. Could really feel the heat escaping and could see the oven rack when looking down from the top. The new replacement seems fine.
