- Answer 1 year, but I doubled that with the BB extended warranty. Know this is for home use. Any professional use and you only get 90 days.

- Answer You don't get the points. You were lied to in order to get you to sign up for their credit card. Credit card sign ups are 100% margin for best buy. A metric of employee success is how many credit card sign ups they get. It can be what will let you keep your job or be let go. It's very common for best buy employees to lie about the discount. I was told I'd get 10% off. What actually happened is i got reward coupons for 10% of my purchase 2 months later that can ONLY be used at best buy. The company is very unethical.
