Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends! I wouldn't place it over the shower, however, if the bathroom has ventilation preferably a powered fan (controlled by a humidistat switch) then there really shouldn't be an issue as long as it isn't above the shower. A lot of it really depends on how big your bathroom is, if you're talking about a 5 piece master bath well in excess of 100 square feet I don't foresee any issues, just keep it at least 3 feet away from the edges of the shower. However if you're thinking about putting this in a typical family bath that is 50 square feet, you couldn't get an effective stereo set up keeping it at least 3 feet away from the shower. Plus the smaller room has less air so the humidity can reach condensation levels much faster. Once the humidity condenses is when you have the potential for problems. However, with proper HVAC and adequate ventilation shouldn't be an issue. Adequate varies depending on climate and construction of building. Simple rule to gauge, if there is no fog on the mirror no problems (assuming it's not a heated mirror) if there's fog on the mirror but it's just a consistent layer without drips and runs you'll likely be okay with a fan. If there are drips and runs on the mirror then the potential for problems is high.
