Make sure that your system volume is set to 70 percent before powering on the speakers per the instructions. This will eliminate the problem. These are very efficient speakers.

If the same is present, then there's a poss. of a simple component failure. Capacitors are easily replaced. Or, a cable may have developed a ground loop.
