The sub has a out put control so you can add just to your listening pleasure and yes they would make a good match.

Please try again later.They do actually still come through nice and clear as long as you dont have the bass cranked up to the moon but even then the bookshelf speakers dont get muddled. That's the exact setup I just got about a month ago when my sound bar died and I couldn't be happier

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, I have this paired up with two Klipsch Reference R-51M speakers and they sound great. Both in music and movie/TV. You do have to tune the system to get the best out of the system.
