Does it run by batteries null

Thank for your interest in our products. At this time, we do not manufacture battery operated products. This heater and all other Lasko products are equipped with a power cord and designed to operate in a 120V outlet only.

You might look at the photos provided by the company and assume there are batteries involved. But, nope! They just mislead us with what they show. You have to plug these in.
