You'll have to feed the cable through the brush plate - its easiest to work from the top down and remove the bottom wall plate so you can see a little better into the wall cavity. Then attach the new cable to the old one/string/fish combo and pull it back through again. Kind of like a tug-of-war situation, but nobody falls to their death like in Squid Game.

If you are lucky, you may be able to only unscrew the bottom one and feed the cable from the top... You would have to do it blind though.
