• This is very basic but I find it useful for excel, remote work. As a note; HDMI on a laptop is only output, no laptop is usable as a monitor.

• Hi, Atlantis. It would not work for that function, as although it has an HDMI port, it only supports video out. Like, going to a monitor, but not being the monitor.
