It will fast for some software, slower for newer heavier software. Ryzen5 is faster per ghz, but it is now a slightly ilder architecture than the new AI Ryzen5. At same speed in ghz this one is much slower. Also note, that thisnis the quad core version of Ryzen5 and not the hexacore. If your goal is to do 3D modeling or CAD, i mean it'll run blender, but slower than a Ryzen5 6 core would, or a Ryzen7 Octa core would... My suggestion for 3D anything though would be get a decent AI Ryzen5 or AI Ryzen7 laptop instead and minimum 24 to 32 gb ram, the more, the better.

This is mainly due to the IdeaPad not featuring dedicated graphics for the high processing needs of 3D modeling software. We recommend reviewing the system requirements detailed on this Rhino webpage: (https://www.rhino3d.com/8/system-requirements/), then comparing it with the specifications of any computer you’re interested in to help ensure you find the right fit for you. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have!
