The second HD slot works with all SATA 2.5 laptop hard drives. There is also a slot for another M.2 HD, but it does not work with both. I had to disconnect the internal adaptor for the SATA 2.5 laptop hard drive (easily removed) to make room for the M.2. I also had to go into the BIOS to tell it to look for the extra M.2 HD. It did not show up right away when I booted it up. So you don't need any extra parts, just decide if you are going with the SATA 2.5 or the M.2.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The computer has an internal tray that fits a standard size 2.5 inch hard drive which can be a standard drive, SSD drive, or hybrid drive. The internal tray has a cover that contains (4) screws to secure the drive so no additional parts are required.
