I purchased this laptop for that very reason and it does fine. I run Cakewalk's sonar for audio engineering and Sony Vegas for video editing. The great part about this laptop is all the USB ports are 3.1 and it works well when connecting audio interfaces and extra hard drives. the micro USB is actually a fourth USB port. I connect a hard drive to it. I have no problems with dropouts with audio when I am mixing. It will do what you need it to do.

We recommend you check with the specific software publisher's web sites that you will be using, for their compatibility with Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system and the minimum/recommended hardware requirements (Is a Graphics card required, the processor speed and the minimum required system RAM and the minimum available hard drive space) to run their program, then compare those requirements to this system's configuration.
