I know of Legion Y530s running 2x16(=32)GB dual-channel 2666 DDR4 SO-DIMMs with the 32GB Optane m.2/NVMe3.0 module RAIDed to a 2TB Seagate Barracuda Pro SATA HD. It's a configuration that Lenovo will NOT sell you, REFUSES to support and also VOIDS the warranty. Battery runtimes shorten accordingly and, even on AC power, the internal battery might start discharging under peak system loads. The improved cooling design still manages to avoid thermal throttling (at the cost of fan noise). You will need to reset/rebind (or disable) the TPM2.0 module in order to swap in the 2TB SATA HD.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. The maximum RAM this configuration can support is 16GB.
