Is the m.2 slot open where I can put in a SSD? null

You must remove the 11 screws from the bottom of the laptop and carefully pry to remove the whole bottom plastic cover. The included drive is a 2.5" 1TB SATA HDD that may be replaced with 2.5" SATA SSD. If you have the 8GB RAM model, you may consider adding a second 8GB RAM while you're in there to reach the 16GB maximum capacity.

This model is not user upgradable. A certified technician must do all of the work, so as to not void the warranty. Your certified technician can install an M.2 solid state hard drive. Check with your certified technician for your options.
