You must remove the 11 screws from the bottom of the laptop and carefully pry to remove the whole bottom plastic cover. The included drive is a 2.5" 1TB SATA HDD that may be replaced with 2.5" SATA SSD. If you have the 8GB RAM model, you may consider adding a second 8GB RAM while you're in there to reach the 16GB maximum capacity.
