- Answer I added an NVME 500GB boot drive, swapped the mechanical HDD with an SSD and added 8GB of memory. Seagate and WD (also works for Samsung) offers free acronis software to image your current boot drive to a new one.

QuestionSo, i want to replace the HDD with an SSD. I just bought this thing yesterday, and it's already fell victim to the 100% disk usage bug on windows 10. I'm told an SSD will counteract that for the most part. Is this model capable of holding an SSD and HDD?

- Answer I was able to replace the 1TB HDD with a SSD. Just make sure that it is a 2.5" SATA drive. You must remove all 11 screws from the bottom of the laptop and carefully pry the bottom cover to remove it.

- Answer Ummm I would strongly recommend u not buy this computer at all I had a lot of problems with it. It overheats way to fast and I returned it twice do to the screen permanently going black but the computer was still on like the back light keys still worked. Do not get this computer trust me. And shipping over seas I’m not sure of.

- Answer You must remove the 11 screws from the bottom of the laptop and carefully pry to remove the whole bottom plastic cover. The included drive is a 2.5" 1TB SATA HDD that may be replaced with 2.5" SATA SSD. If you have the 8GB RAM model, you may consider adding a second 8GB RAM while you're in there to reach the 16GB maximum capacity.
