Hey, Nick. There are several features that go into both the hardware and software of the LOQ 15 to ensure that you can game without performance drops or throttling. We think that user reviews back this, showing that while gaming it may get warm and toasty, but nothing that should the computer, and yourself of course.

After multiple failures at medium load due to heat both built up from the laptop running and temp above 70 degrees F in well ventilated rooms you would be best to invest in a cooling pad for this and many other gaming laptops.
