• Hello, thanks for your question. Yes, you may turn off the alarm of the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential by pressing the button shaped like an alarm (farthest right) on top of the device while the alarm is sounding. To turn off the nightlight you can press and hold the volume "-" button for three seconds.

• Yes, there is a button for the alarm on the top and by light, I assume you meant nightlight. If you hold down the minus key on the top you can toggle it on and off. Conversely, you can preset the light level only with google commands, but it retains that level when turned on and off.
