Will this clock and alarms work if the wifi goes out? null

Yes. As long as the alarm was set using “Hey Google” before your Wi-Fi goes out.

The alarms you previously set on the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential will remain BUT you will not be able to interact with the Google Assistant to do anything further as it requires internet connectivity. Your device will let you know it is not connected to the internet and that is about it. It will not display the time.
