“Its been around 2 months and a half, and have been very happy with the product, but was wandering if I could still buy the plan with best buy that allows for full coverage of the laptop, no matter what happens? If the laptop breaks I get a new one.”

I'm pretty sure that there is a limit as to how long after purchase you could add their warranty, though I don't know what it would be. This is to prevent some disreputable from spilling coffee into their laptop and THEN buying an extended warranty. Any insurance works like this, accept for the Affordable Care Act, which covers "preexisting conditions." You also might be eligible to add the laptop to your home insurance policy.
