- Answer There is a link to instructions for launching the web cam on your Windows 10 laptop: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028647/windows-open-the-camera-in-windows-10. On the Yoga C740-14, there is an exclusice Privacy Shutter over the camera lens. Be sure the shutter cover is off bsfore you launch the camera. There is a manual slider to open the shutter right at the top of the camera lens at the top, middle of the screen.

If you are connecting an HDMI external monitor to this computer, you can use a USB-c to HDMI adapter.
