I don’t smoke so I can’t say for sure, but it does a good job of removing stove-generated smoke and odors. If I’m cooking something that will smoke I’ll relocate it to near the stove/stovetop, and it sucks in what’s coming off the source, and produce purified air that is drastically cleaner; it makes a big difference in keeping the kitchen smelling fresh. I think IOT properly filter cigarette smoke you should have the ash tray close to the purifier.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You need a 120 Volt A/C outlet. The car won't work. You could plug it into an inverter, I guess. It does clean smoke from a small carpeted room on our home. I bought 2 Shark Air Purifiers as well. See recommendation.
