"Should" is subjective, I say this because you "shouldn't" leave your TV on all day, but if you do nothing will happen to it. With that said, I have left mine on for anywhere from 24-72 hours from low to high setting due to the wildfires in California, and I have not run into any issues with my unit.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can have it on for as long as you prefer, even 24/7! It may depend on the environment it is in, however it should clean the air in a closed room within a couple hours. We hope this helps!
