You can do either. I have left it on running continuously for several hours, and I have had nights where I only turn it on at night.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That is up to you, I have left it on for 24-72 hours, especially while the Wildfires are raging here in California. You can also just leave it on at a low setting over night. I have not run into any issues with that.
