No. The germ has to be in the room before the unit can filter it out of the air. By then, anyone breathing can get covid.

They are capable of filtering particles 0.1 microns in size (including viruses and bacteria), but are advertised as 0.3. This is because 0.3 microns is the MPPS, or "Most Penetrating Particle Size." H13 means as many as .05% of particles that are 0.1 microns in diameter may pass through. We hope this helps!
