That probably depends on the room size. I have a condo with a kitchen/living room/foyer and hallway basically making up one space which is probably close to the 538sq.ft. the unit is rated for and I'd say on the top speed it could recycle the air 5 or 6 times in an hour. It takes about 10 minutes to clear it on hi speed (clear meaning you can smell the air is fresher and cleaner). On the middle speed it would probably be 2-3 times in an hour. On low - 1 or 2 times probably.
