Microwave sizes are fairly standardized with most over-the-range microwaves measuring around 30" wide, 17" high and 15" to 18" deep with the door closed. Depth is measured with the door closed and open since you’ll need enough space for the door to fully swing out. Closed-door depths range from about 12 to 16 inches. The LG 1.7 cu. ft. Smart Over-the-Range Convection Microwave with Air Fry, Model # MHEC1737F has a depth of 15 11/16" and is designed for installation under standard upper kitchen cabinets that have a depth of 12"-13". The depth of the cabinet should be 12"–13" for an OTR microwave having a depth of 15"–16". In order to install an over-the-range microwave under a deeper cabinet (14",15", or 16") deep cabinet, a Bump Out Kit is required. The Bump Out Kit is a wall bracket that extends the unit forward by 3". LG does not manufacture Bump Out Kits...^Ivan
