“Does this unit need to have a cabinet above it for proper installation or can it just be hung on the wall?”

• I needs a cabinet or other upper frame. There is a wall bracket mounted along the lower back edge and uses two fixed position bolts down from the top about 5 inched back from the front edge.

• The top cabinet holds it in place so it doesn't tip forward. The only supports on the wall side is from the bracket on the lower half.
