LG has another slightly more expensive model in which the controls/buttons are horizontal across the microwave door instead of in the right upper corner. I think LG uses the same door so even though the controls are not horizontal across the door on this model, the area where the controls/buttons would be is a solid non-see-through black on the door. This is unfortunate and I hope a redesign will make the door easier to see through instead of half of the window blocked so can't see through it.
