remoute not working what do i need to do null

Some tv remotes will work for the sound bar.

Hi Davey. Check the battery compartment for the remote that came with the LG - 2.1-Channel 300W Soundbar System with 6" Subwoofer, Model # SL4Y to see if a battery may have leaked alkaline into the compartment which is caustic and can burn the internal components out in the remote. It may be a viscous sticky substance that will look wet in the battery compartment if it is still fresh or a while powdery substance if it has dried out. If that is the case, you will need to get a nw remote control. You might not always be able to see it if it got into the unit. Make sure not to get it on your clothes. It is caustic and can burn holes in your clothes...^IFV

First you should replace the batteries.
