Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The built-in venting for the these cases is just to blow it strait out into the kitchen (as we have had in our last 3 houses.). The "Extend vent" feature does get the starting point to be about 6 inches further into you kitchen, so not quite straight down onto your stove top (if that is what is below the microwave oven).

If you do not have an option to run the exhaust to an outside vent, this model can vent internally. The microwave uses a recirculating venting system that filters the air through a charcoal filter and then vents it back into the kitchen.
