QuestionWhat is the space on the wall required for the mounting bracket? What distance is required at the wall from the bottom of shelf (above unit) to the bottom of the mounting bracket? I can see there is a different height at back than at the front.

For proper installation of the mounting bracket, a clearance of at least 30 inches from the bottom of the shelf above the unit to the bottom of the mounting bracket is recommended. Additionally, it’s important to account for the height difference between the back and front of the unit; the back is typically taller to allow for optimal ventilation. QuestionIf this MW is installed using recirculated air (NOT vented to the outdoors), where does the air come out? My current (9 yr old Whirlpool) shoots the air out the top/front of the MW. The air flows across the upper cabinet & has damaged it.

QuestionIs there an interior light? If not, is it easy to see the food through the glass door. Want to avoid boiling over issues.

- Answer There is an interior light. Which is adequate. The problem is on the front of the microwave. The instrument panel is not back lit so unless you have a well lit kitchen area, you have to have a flashlight to see the numbers.

- Answer My unit was already set up to exhaust the air via a vent that we had installed. But I don’t believe that there would be a problem with THE, INSTALLERS changing the direction. FYI the front panel is not back lit, which makes it very difficult to see the numbers when you’re operating the microwave

QuestionInstall info states max cabinet depth is 13". My cabinets are 13 1/2". Will it work without modification? Is 13"d max for door hinge/swing? This item has same install instructions as MVEL2137F, which has a side door handle - maybe needs more depth?

The microwave oven has a depth of 15 7/8 inches (without handle), and a depth of 17 5/8 inches (Includes handle), so if your cabinet has a depth of 13 1/2 inches it will not obstruct the door from opening at all....^Ivan
