I can't set the time and it won't save it. It keeps resetting to "add time of day" and I try to use other functions but resets and plays music and tells me add time and day. Is it defective?? null

Hi, Press STOP/Clear and press Clock.Press the number keys to set the correct time of day, and press START/Enter. Press 1 to select AM, or 2 to select PM. Press START/Enter.
