“What is the space on the wall required for the mounting bracket? What distance is required at the wall from the bottom of shelf (above unit) to the bottom of the mounting bracket? I can see there is a different height at back than at the front.”

For proper installation of the mounting bracket, a clearance of at least 30 inches from the bottom of the shelf above the unit to the bottom of the mounting bracket is recommended. Additionally, it’s important to account for the height difference between the back and front of the unit; the back is typically taller to allow for optimal ventilation. Lowering the mounting brackets slightly (1/16"-1/8") from the template dimensions will make final leveling of the microwave easier. You will find the target dimension on the template enclosed with the unit. Make sure the bracket is level as well.
