This microwave has4 Power Levels (Hi/Mid/Low/Off) and features a Quiet Power Ventilation System. The Noise Criteria (NC level) or decibel rating on the exhaust fan is not a provided specification. The exhaust fan has a 400 CFM rating. ^Daphane
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This microwave has 4 levels for the exhaust fan which go from Low to Turbo. Low is normal sound with the noise increasing to loudest in turbo. Turbo is pretty high in the noise. - you would need to shout if you are talking to someone. I use it on low or next level. The only time you will use turbo is if you burn something and need to clear the smoke quickly and you will use it for a short time. Hope this helps - sorry I don't have the decibel rating.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have no device to measure sound levels. Noise specs may or may not appear in the maker's literature. Sorry. I can tell you that I've had experience with OTR microwaves in my own houses and MANY freinds' and family-member's houses going back more than 40 years and this one is on the quieter side. However, be aware that NO OTR or dedicated OTR exhaust hood moving air at 400cfm (high setting) is going to be "quiet". They all become increasingly noisy as the power is increased and they're all annoyingly noisy at full blast. The characteristics of your duct-work are also a factor in this.
