Check to make sure that the power switch for the Craft Ice™ Maker in the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 23.5 Cu. Ft. French InstaView™ Door-in-Door® Counter-Depth Refrigerator with Craft Ice™ Maker - PrintProof™ Stainless Steel, Model # LRFVC2406S is not set to the Off position. It takes about 12 to 24 hours for a newly installed refrigerator to begin making ice. The Craft Ice™ Maker should produce then 3 pieces of round ice at a time every 18 - 30 hours.When the arm in the Craft Ice™ Maker is up, ice production will stop...^IFV

I am guessing it takes time for the freezer to get to the correct temp to start the production process. I have not seen any on or off for the craft ice, but I suspect one exists, but if mine is a typical example, it should have been on at the time of delivery.
