As with most, if not all other, DVD drives, when the first DVD disc is inserted into the LG 24x Write/24x Rewrite/24x Read CD - 8x Write DVD External USB 2.0 DVD-Writer Drive - Multi, Model # GP60NB50, the region code of the drive is set to the same code as the DVD disc. The drive's region may be changed a further 4 times before it is permanently locked to a region. You cannot change it for MacOS because for MacOS10.14 and later versions, the function for region code amendments is no longer supported. Windows OS still supports region code changes for DVD drives. Users can change disc drive region codes in Windows. To change region settings, go to Device Manager, find the DVD drive, and make the desired changes on the DVD Region tab...^Ivan.
