I have several DVD's of family events that I wanted to make available to other family members. This FG device works well for my duplication projects. It is easy to use and performs well.

Slim and portable for fast writing speeds. I've only use it to burn cds, however it has been quite stable throughout my use. It's a little loud but I wouldn't consider it annoying.

I have been looking for a 14" laptop with optical drive and they are impossible to find. So I had to get external DVD drive/burner. This was the cheapest available. Another pro - it is small and light, can fir into a pocket in the laptop bag. The con - it is only shipped, no store pickup, so you pay extra for shipping. And I just don;t have extra space on my desk to have another gadget dangling of my laptop. Please bring back 14" laptops with optical drives!!!

Who would imagine in the year 2026 that I'd need a cd/dvd writer. But here i am. Did what i needed it to do and a good speed, easy to use. Came with multimedia software cd that i nearly installed, but its like 'who else owns a cdrom?' Id have to lend them mine just to play the disk i burned.

Easy to set up and works well for playback. Haven't used it yet to write to it, but not why I purchased it. I don't mind the small footprint. Not much room on my desk for anything larger. So far, works well for me. We'll see how well it holds up. Flimsy plastic build so be careful not to drop it. Kind of what I expected for the price. All in all, pretty satisfied with the purchase.

Wow. I have not had a CD/DVD burner in years until now and this LG model did not disappoint. I've been recently archiving files and each DVD is about 5 gb each which is a cheap way to store data. I've had old media that hasn't been played in almost 20 years and this LG drive was able to run it to my surprise on my Mac. I'm very happy with it as this allows me to access my old media and archive new data that will last about 20 some years compared to SSDs. For that price alone, it was absolutely worth it and a steal. But I do recommend using DVD RWs for better archiving data while for music, use CD RWs.

This LG DVD burner works great! I use it to burn audio CD's to my desktop computer & it works fine. The only issue I had was the software that came with it wouldn't play a DVD disc, movie. I had to download another piece of software to play DVD movies. The CD burning works fine but have not had a chance to burn a DVD. I run Windows 11 on a desktop computer.

It's fast, it's quite, and it's easily transportable. It works with both my computer and my Surface tablet.

Nice basic CD drive which I purchased since I don't have any disc drives at home and I occasionally need it to access programs stored on disk or come in the back of textbooks. It's a bit loud, but it's sleek and light, seems fine in terms of build. Wouldn't call it the best, but if you want something that functions well and is affordable, this is probably a good drive to get. Like it so far.

The drive is pretty compact, about the size of a plastic CD case and made entirely of plastic. It seems sturdy enough but not ruggedly so. It requires only the one USB cable for power and data which is nice. The read speed seems pretty decent and I have not had any issues using to play music cds. Overall it seems to do the job for me

Good price for this DVD player. Works with Windows 11. No issues at all.

I needed an external USB writer multi drive, after doing some research I decided to go with this one. I am so glad I purchased it. It was an easy installation and it's a great product for the price. It is sleek and not bulky. You'll be pleased with your purchase, look no further.

With a new pc with no internal disc drive, this is essential so that cds can be loaded onto a pc - whether photos or computer program. Easy and simple to use and a life saver!! Recommend to anyone - affordable and easy to use.

Compact DVD drive works great. Terrific value. Automatically synchs with my computer.

Nice little unit for the price. My new computer didn't come with a drive so I wanted to get an external which this is, but I didn't realize that it is labeled as 'portable.' This is fine it's just a lot smaller than what I thought I was getting but it does the job nicely.

Very portable, plays DVDs, burns discs, and everything you need for a disc drive when you don't have one for your $4000 custom computer. =)

This is a great DVD drive - fast, sleek, light. The price is unbeatable, but you cannot order it shipped to the store for free - you have to pay the $5 shipping, which kind of hurts, when the item cost less then $25. But overall I am happy - it saved my laptop when the system crashed and even the internal DVD drive could not read the installation CD!
