By non-adjustable, they mean the shelf type. They are a static depth. This unit includes 3 solid shelves and one that the front half slides back. Each shelf can be placed at 3 different heights. Do note, they can NOT be swapped left/right. Meaning the sliding shelf must remain on the right side. There are 2 left shelves and 2 right shelves and they are different. The wording they used is terrible.
