Does the black stainless steel scratch easily? null

So far, no. The black stainless finish seems to be as durable as the other exterior material. To check, I took a metal kitchen utensil and (using the handle) tried to mark a lower corner where no one would see if it scratched. I tried the exterior body material, then the door, and neither one was marked. I'm sure it can be done, but probably not by incidental contact. I did not use a knife or fork tines, but I still think it was a good test for ordinary day-to-day kitchen use. Hope this helps.
