You may need to place a base under the LG - Washer/Dryer Laundry Pedestal for Most LG Washers and Dryers - Graphite Steel, Model # WDP4V so that you have enough clearance to open the storage drawer. Regrettably, we are not quite clear on the measurement you gave. Is the 1.5" the height of a lip for the recessed space that you intend to install the pedestal in. How much space will you have between the pedestal and the lip that is 1.5" high? The legs on the pedestal, like those on your dryer or washing machine are designed to level such units and not to raise them up to any significant height. Raising the feet unnecessarily will cause the washer under which the pedestal is installed to vibrate and shake severely. The leveling legs should be lowered to their lowest height when you install the pedestal under the washer...^IFV
