Hello, this TV is manufactured for use in the USA and does require 120Vac for optimal operation, however, the TV can withstand up to 240Vac with an adapter if needed. A 64 & 256 QAM tuner is one of three built-in tuners in the LG 32 inch Class 720p Smart HD TV (31.5'' Diag), Model # 32LM570BPUA, the other two being an ATSC tuner & an NTSC tuner. ^CP
