• No you don’t have to have it connected to the Internet. Just skip that part of the set up.

• The LG 43 inch Class 1080p Smart FHD TV (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43LM5700PUA has to be connected to the internet if you plan on streaming from the built-in apps in the TV and to receive firmware updates. It does not have to be connected to the internet for you to receive programming from an antenna for OTA (Over-the-Air) programming or to receive programming from your cable's set-top box. The TV runs on LG's webOS TV Platform and that cannot be turned off...^IFV

• Skip that part on set up and get an anthena, thats what i did i havent got internet. Settings was pretty easy.
