Those old fashioned Red/White/Yellow RCA barrel ports that you can plug DVD players into are also referred to as Composite ports. The LG 43 inch Class 1080p Smart FHD TV (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43LM5700PUA has what is referred to as a Shared Composite/Component port the TV's video input circuitry has been modified so that both a composite and component video source connection (and associated analog audio input) can be accommodated. If you click on the thumbnail image with '+8 images' under the main image on Best Buy's product page for the TV, on the page that opens up, when you click on the third thumbnail image in the right column, you will see an these ports. Moving from left to right, the ports are color coded as Half Yellow/Half Green, Blue, Red, then the associated White and Red Audio Ports. When you plug your DVD Player into these ports, plug the White/Red Audio ports as you would normally do, then plug the composite port (i.e. Yellow plug) into the Half Yellow/Half Green port...^IFV
