“Can you connect this TV to external speakers & if so, what cable will I need to buy? I have an old console stereo that has great speakers that I have my present TV connected to & I want to use this console as a TV stand & send the audio to the speakers.”

This model has exactly one output connector on it, and it's TOSLINK multi-speaker digital...a "D" shaped hole with a red laser under the dust-cover flap. The chain-store "burger and **** " often has no-name-brand-you've-heard-of black metal pods that convert the light pulses into the analog signal that vinyl record players had, and deliver it through the 3.5mm size "earbuds" jack (from the Sony Walkman tape player days.)
