- Answer It has applications on the tv such as netflix as with a regular tv you would need to buy a device in order to get netflix on your tv such as a roku or amazon fire.

- Answer You will not need a smart phone. It is super simple but pay attention to the settings menu tab located in the upper right hand corner of the screen, sometimes its a bit difficult to see. Also if you're hanging the TV, even if you're not using the HDMI ports now go ahead and connect and LABEL HDMI cables for future use. This is important because its hard to get behind the TV once it has been mounted to the wall. Other than that you simply need to enter your username and password information for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Note: I haven't been able to get Amazon Video to work. Hope all this helps.

QuestionThe background noise and or music often is so loud that the voices speaking or singing cannot be heard as well. Is there any way to adjust this? I've tried all the different sound controls and it seems I'm missing some options to change the sound.

- Answer If it has an analog audio out (such as a headphone jack) one good one is the Phillips Izzy. I have one and it sits next to me and I use it every day. Great sound. I really like it. I bought it brand new for $120 from Best Buy maybe four years ago I know. I'm sure you can find one used in your price range. Good luck
